Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 Dynamic Window Display

The brief from Samsung was to design, manufacture and install point of sale collateral for over 100 JB HI FI stores around Australia. Our end goal was to elevate the launch of the newly released Galaxy Z Fold2 — engaging customers at the point of purchase while delivering an experience that would increase sales.

The installation needed to speak to Samsung’s position as a market leader in the mobile space, and also capture the bold statement the brand was making with the Galaxy Z Fold2 itself — the product was excitingly ambitious and the display needed to capture and communicate this.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 consumer launch was scheduled for 8.00am on a Monday morning but assets couldn’t be displayed the Sunday before. To meet these requirements, we installed 100+ displays nationwide within 14 hours between store close and open. We achieved 100% compliance.

Given this installation was rolled out across 100 stores nation-wide, our design needed to achieve the client’s objectives while also working with a range of varied, bespoke window sizes and aspect ratios.

Within an incredibly short turnaround time, our inhouse commercial designers came up with a layout that could be moulded to fit all windows while maintaining its elegance and efficacy. This enabled our team to get the job done within the allocated time frame and deliver a result that exceeded client expectations.

Informed by the product’s groundbreaking design, top-tier status and target market, our focus was on creating a dynamic display that included movement and a sense of depth to draw consumers’ attention. This was achieved by using sleek, metallic materials in multiple physical layers, offset by matt black vinyl.

To accentuate this further, we added a slow-pulsating LED ribbon to the backs of large images of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 phone printed on aluminium composite material, creating a halo effect on the banners in the background.

A black border around the window focused the attention of the customer directly to the products displayed. The header sign was produced in 50mm thick polystyrene to provide another dimension of depth to the window.
